IMS-MRL Clinical Research Studies
Use this site to find out about research studies at the Institute of Metabolic Science-Metabolic Research Laboratories (IMS-MRL) where patients and the public can get involved.
The IMS-MRL and the embedded MRC Metabolic Diseases Unit, bring together outstanding scientific and clinical researchers to form an international centre of excellence for research into metabolism and metabolic disease. We pride ourselves in being a vibrant and inclusive community working towards a common goal of improving the lives of those living with obesity and related conditions.
Research studies are vital to improve the lives and health of people with obesity, diabetes and related metabolic and endocrine diseases.
We use several approaches including genetics and imaging to determine why these conditions occur and to improve prevention, early diagnosis and develop safe and effective treatments.
